This weekend I finished the decorating of my bedroom. That’s pretty much all I got done, but I’m very very pleased that it is now finished.
Diane came over to see it (it used to be her room when we lived together and let me borrow her digital camera to take these pictures) and I made her close her eyes and did the whole “Trading Spaces” style reveal and it was PRICELESS! It was just like on the show; her eyes bugged out and she squealed and did the OMG thing!! So fun!
Here’s the view from the door:

This is the view from the end of my bed. The entire wall is covered in fabric. That was my solution to apartment living and wanting color on the walls. It turned out just like I had invisioned.

Here’s another corner. There’s my mask and my ridiculous “Happy Mardi Gras” beads. My cousin is making me a bookcase to go in the empty space. He made the little shelf that is on the wall too. I love having a handy family.

A closer view of my framed Bonerama posters and pictures. I got a mat cutter and cut the mat myself. I’m still learning proper technique, but since it only cost me $5 for the mat, it was worth it

This is my chest of drawers (its on the same wall as the bonerama frame and the little shelf) and my mirror which I obviously painted. The mirror has Orpheus doubloons on the corners. The stuffed duck I caught from a float at the ball

Little painted Ikea frames with snapshots from NOLA above my closet.

Last, but not least, my Orpheus print with some pictures from the ball. Thanks to TracyA. It was a big inspiration, I wanted to have a fabulous room to put my fabulous print in.

Wow! Your room looks so bright and cheerful with all those colors. And that’s a good way to make use of your beads. Can’t wait to see it!
