Friday Five
1. What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to do, but never have?
Go to Egypt and see the pyramids. Be on The Amazing Race.
2. When someone asks your opinion about a new haircut/outfit/etc, are you always honest?
Always? No, but that’s only because I can think of this one instance with a friend who made a bad hair choice, but with hair, its too late at that point and it seemed unnecessary to tell her it sucked. I would bet I’m always honest about clothing though.
3. Have you ever found out something about a friend and then wished you hadn’t? What happened?
Yes. She had an affair, left her husband, got stalked, got divorced and then disappeared from my life. I’ve finally gotten to the point where I don’t feel real bad about it all, even though it had nothing to do with me personally, but my life probably would’ve been better if I hadn’t known all about it.
4. If you could live in any fictional world (from a book/movie/game/etc.) which would it be and why?
So many fictional worlds, so little time.
When I’m feeling real adventurous, I’d like to live in Lara Croft’s world of Tomb Raider. Exotic locales and danger and peril.
When I’m wanting a more relaxing escape, I’d vote for Pickax, the fictional town in The Cat Who… series of mystery books by Lillian Jackson Braun. Spending a week or two in Qwill’s converted apple barn home with his cats Koko and YumYum would be a lovely escape from life. And someone would probably be murdered while I was there and that would make it entertaining.
5. What’s one talent/skill you don’t have but always wanted?
I’ve got three: to play the piano, to play the bagpipes, and to be able to ice skate well.

The bagpipes? Really? That’s easy. Stick your cat in your vacuum cleaner and hold it under your arm. Bang, pow, you’re a-playin’ the bagpipes.
