On the road again

My mom and I are about to walk out the door to head for south bend.
I’m still finishing my stuff from the kansas city concert. Thank goodness for laptops. Type while she drives. I might actually audblog this time, but don’t hold your breath. Like anyone really cares that much. ;)

I love my life

The concert last night was amazing and crazy and fun. Got to talk to all my boys and Harry waved and spoke to me during the show. New arrangements were debuted and our seat were fabulous. Jewels was the best concert going best friend ever and Johnny G was in the house; it was crazy synergy of my life.

Gotta go to work now so I can save my vacation time for the next shows!
For now, I leave you with a few photos from yesterday.

Giddy

Ah the general joy of the day before a Harry concert.
I try to be a productive member of society and it just never seems to happen.

Harry pre-concert press interviews all the time during a tour and he had a quote from one a few days ago that just sums up why I love going to see him live:

I just want them to feel better than they did when they walked in. If I can take them out of their lives just for a couple of hours and go on a fantastic ride with me that’s all I can ask– that they’re in a happier place than they were when they walked in.

I’m out of town afterwork tonight to head to Jewels’ and play Nick Burns with her Mac. There may be an audblog post or two, so stay tuned.

New Additions

There are new pictures in the photo album. Nothing exciting, its an on-going visual record of the building of my Aunt Beverly’s new home in Albia.

There is also a new link in the top nav bar to a section for my Harry Connick, Jr. stuff, mostly concert reviews. Wanted to get that mostly together since I’m seeing Harry on Tuesday. (Johnny G too.) Good times.

And in the “Iowa weather is Bi-polar” news today, its supposed to freeze tonight and then be 85 degrees by Friday. Guess I’ll get to wear 2 or 3 seasons worth of clothes in the next 5 days.

And they’re off!

The 130th running of the Kentucky Derby is just about to get underway. I always seem to be home the first weekend in May and watch it on tv. Going to Churchill Downs, wearing a fun hat, and having a mint julep is one of the items on my “things to do before I die” list.
