If I ever redo my blog so that I like it enough to post on it again, I’m thinking that may be my new blog title…

    Long-winded Procrastinator

    I think the phrase

That would be a great name for a band…

    has been replaced by

That would be a great name for a blog…

Just finished a project at work that’s been dragging on for a long time. Had a few moments of perl brilliance that let me get it done sooner than I thought. Thought I’d take a moment or two and try to catch up on my 50 book posts. The problem is that what I want to post is never just a few paragraphs. Every thought I have and every event I attend ends up in my head in Harry Potter-esque lengths. Why is that? Someday I will learn to get over not getting everything in my life done and just moving foward. I’m constantly trying to catch up on recording the past for posterity. I think it affects my living in the present and planning for the future.
Its a problem. I recognize that.

Any of my handful of devoted readers got any tips?

Don’t ask me, I live in the future, always planning the next event, concert, weekend, trip….the past is done and over, it offers no excitement…

I know what you mean about getting behind. I love to scrapbook and I am falling further and further behind. I love keeping track of my own history though, because there is so much that is so easy to forget.

Make your posts novel long if you want - all that reading will keep us busy at work! :)

My (limited and relatively ignorant) experience in the blog world shows me that there are essentially two types of bloggers out there. There are those that are content to simply link to other sites and other people’s thoughts and there are those that choose to post their own unique and original thoughts. For the latter, those thoughts are sometimes so expansive that it’s hard to carve out time to write it all out. I know that’s why I haven’t been blogging much.

The people that I really admire are the people like Jerry and Sara. They blog regularly using original thoughts in a concise manner. They’re capable of the big, rambling posts because their minds certainly think big, complex thoughts. But they manage to condense their thoughts on their blog.

As for tips? I got nothin’ except to say that maybe small and short is better?
