Thursday morning mind dump
First off, thanks to all my readers for all your advice/encouragement from my last post. I have my sanity back now. I’m going to try to post more about the gym/eating habits, even if they are boring, to keep myself more accountable. I had forgotten I have access to Self Diet Club, even if it is Windows/IE only for now, its a good resource to track daily eating habits, find meal ideas, and track exercise. So I’ll use that from my work computer.
In completely random news, on Tuesday I had a co-worker stop by my cube to tell me that she had caught the Oprah rerun with Lisa Marie Presley and that she thinks that Lisa Marie and I sound exactly alike when we talk. She said she kept watching the show thinking, “gosh, she sounds just like someone I know, who is that?” And then she decided it was me, in both tone and speech patterns. I said it was random.
Yesterday I ditched the day job and went to a Mary Kay workshop with Robert Jones, this truly fabulous makeup artist and consultant who educated a room of 350 consultants on how to really make people look amazing with our products. I’d seen him before around two years ago and the first time you hear him it is just so much information that you can barely take it in. I enjoyed this second time more because I knew all his basics already and was able to pick up more of the finer details and focus on the new information more. Now I’m chock full of really fun beauty tips and will be glad to share them in person with whoever I can!
I also heard two women behind me in the line for lunch having a conversation about hair (one had a total femullett) and they decided that I had gorgeous hair. Always a nice pick-me-up during the day.
Last night, I got home and was able to pick up my new Mighty Mouse from UPS. A review forthcoming, but for now I can say that I am really digging it.
I have a lot of odds and ends to attend to before tomorrow afternoon when my mom and I head to St. Louis to see Bonerama! Really looking forward to that. Just hoping it doesn’t rain since the place they’re playing has an outdoor patio.
