Another book on loan from Lisa, another book about visiting New Orleans, another book that I read on my travels to and from New York last month, another book that made me both sad and eager at the same time, Feet on the Street by Roy Blount Jr. gave me a bit of a sense of the space of New Orleans. He describes the locations and where places are in relation to other places quite well (at least in the opinion of someone who has only been there once) and mostly from the perspective of walking in the city. I found the maps in the front and back of the book to be helpful in orienting myself to his writings.
