Change Wind Direction + Stop the Snowfall

  • Reason #279 why Fox network executives suck
  • Written by Wendy on October 31, 2005 – 2:20 pm -

Reason #14 : Keeping the X-Files on the air long after the show should’ve ended.

Reason #67 : Airing American Idol seven times a week

Reason #113 : Hiring people who cut the commericals for upcoming shows like 24 that give away huge plot points.

    Reasons #150-#175 : Canceling Firefly.

    and the latest addition:

Reason #279 : (via tvguide.com) Fox has finally announced when Prison Break will return to the schedule following its fall finale on Nov. 28 . The network has decided to hold the show’s nine remaining episodes until May 2006!

Seriously, what other shows do they even have? American Idol is on every night. Then The Simpsons, Family Guy, Bones, Reunion, and 24. These are all the shows other than Prison Break that Fox airs that I can name off the top of my head and I’m a total TV junkie, yet I don’t watch half those shows. Prison Break is great and fun. And now they’re taking it off until MAY. That’s just stupid.

UPDATE: I was cleaning out old blog entries that I never finished after lunch and I found this amusing bit in a post I started in 2003:

As if I didn’t have enough reasons to hate the execs at FOX; first for what they forced to happen to the X-Files the last 2 seasons and then for canceling The Lone Gunmen and Dark Angel, I now have another reason, Firefly. A completely brilliant and original show from the genius mind of Joss Whedon that FOX completely mishandled and then dropped after 11 episodes while leaving dreck like Fastlane (sorry, Jerry) on the air for a full season.

WTF? Is anyone even watching Bones? The assholes that run that station have no clue what they are doing…Prison Break is the best new show of the season…

A pox and hex and a plague on FOX!

    2. Joe Says:

Isn’t Prison Break actually getting decent ratings? I mean, I get Firefly because they hosed the show out from the start, but Prison Break was heavily hyped and seems to have crazily good buzz. That makes no sense.

Granted, I’m not watching the show, but still…
