Its nearly official…
I made an actual decision regarding my life.
I’m going to move. But not out of town or change jobs. That’s for other people to deal with right now. I am going to move into the condo I posted about last week. Rachel will be my new roommate, hopefully by Dec. 1. I called my current landlord, Rod, who’s been great for the last five years and told him today. I will meet with Rachel this week to figure out the details. Her current roommate is all but moved out. Hopefully I can start taking boxes and bits over there throughout the coming weeks. I have to figure out what furniture will move with me, what will go to keep J&S company in their new home sans furniture, and what will go to The Basement of Four Generations™ at my mom’s house. Thankfully, since I thought I was going to have a roommate of my own this fall and ended up with that oh so fun time of having an intern this summer, I had already boxed up and cleaned out a lot of my more not needed stuff. Not sure when the actual move will be. Thanksgiving weekend would be nice, but I’ve got a wedding and a Bonerama show to attend that weekend, so I’m not going to be able to squeeze that in. The real rent-a-truck-bribe-my-friends-with-food-and-drink moving may have to wait until the first weekend in December. Pencil that on your calendar, kids…
I started making a list of all the things to do before I move and man, I can tell its been a long time since I moved. The last time I moved, I hadn’t bought my car, I hadn’t started repaying my student loans, and I didn’t have a cell phone. Yikes! So many addresses to update. But luckily, only two utilities to cancel and one I can do online.
Speaking of addresses. I’m thinking I may lose my @mchsi.com email address in this whole switch, so time to update all your address books… to @gmail.com (same username). And for the love of Pete, if you still have my @hotmail.com address in your email address books, please update it.
