Change Wind Direction + Stop the Snowfall

  • The times, they are a changin’

My brain is a thousand places. Since I don’t really embrace change all that well, I’ve opted for the rip-the-bandaid-off-quickly method of changing residences. As in I scheduled my move for next Monday, while I’m gone for four out of the next seven days. No time to think! Just pack! And look for boxes.

The last week has been a blur of sorts, I knew the move was coming, so I’ve started packing and even delivering things to my new residence. But then this weekend there was that fabulous Hawkeye football game, Jerry & Sara came home to Iowa City for good (for now), and Min got baptized and confirmed over in Colfax. And much less packing than I had hoped actually took place. C’est la vie.

And yet, my tv keeps airing new shows and the theaters keep getting new movies. People, I don’t have the time!! Back off! My backlog of videotaped shows just grows for now. I’m storing up for winter. I am a media squirrel.

I’m ready to get out of work and go run errands and pack and just generally not be here doing nothing. Half the company will be gone tomorrow.

I’m totally with you. We have a two week backlog of television on our DVR that we’re just having a hard time making time to watch (stupid Iowa basketball playing four times in seven days). In a related note, Tivo announced plans to deliver recorded programming to video iPods and PSPs. I think that would be great if I could just take those shows with me and watch them in the car on my way to Chicago tomorrow.
