Must See TV : Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in New Orleans
I intended to blog and tell all my readers to make sure to tune into ABC tonight at 7pm central/8pm eastern and why they should do that. But Lisa has already said what I was going to say, so in the interest of being lazy, I’m quoting her:
Don’t forget everyone! Tonight is the airing of Extreme Makeover Home Edition- After the Storm that was filmed in New Orleans! There is a segment on the wonderful people of the Arabi Wrecking Krewe including the adorable, talented and oh so nice Craig Klein! Tell me that voice isn’t like buttah! Craig Klein has the most amazing voice. He’s one of those people that you could just sit and listen to him read the phone book, his voice is mesmerizing! The segment also shows the hardworking, incredible photographer Shiek Richardson. His photography is some of the best I’ve ever seen and the work he’s done to pull this krewe together is inspiring.
I’m so excited for this to air. I know I will need at least a box of tissues to get through it. Extreme Makeover Home Edition is always an emotional show, but tonight, seeing the town I love and people I know and adore, it’s going to be overwhelming. I have so much love and respect for this group of people who will not give up! They are my heroes, I wish I could do more to help them!!!
So please, PLEASE, tune in tonight and see what these fine folks are up against. See how much more there is to do for them to just GO HOME! Imagine if it were your home, your neighborhood, your city, totally wiped out… this is what these folks have been facing every day for nearly 8 months, and hurricane season is almost upon them again…
Dont miss this episode. I promise you wont regret giving up this hour of your time.
If you didn’t already know and even if you do, its worth repeating, Craig is also one of the most talented trombone players around, something you’ll get to see on the show tonight. I tend to totally love him, he’s one of the nicest guys ever. Despite having dozens, I couldn’t find a picture that I had taken of him that I liked. The one above is by Dino Perrucci

We took a walk to try and find the site while we were in town for Mardi Gras and we did find it, but the security was crazy tight and this was as close as we could get. I’m excited to see what they were able to do.
