I twittered about it last week, but here’s what’s going on with MacGyver as of 5:20pm today:
On Thursday morning, I dropped her off at the vet clinic for observation. I am constantly amused when I walk in with my pet carrier and declare that I have MacGyver for a visit and all the people in [...]

Car trouble… hurray!
January 8th, 2007 · No Comments
My car is in for some service and I just found out they need another part (which they are graciously just covering the cost for because it wasn’t included in the original estimate), so it won’t be ready until tomorrow afternoon. Which was annoying. But then I realized that would mean I wouldn’t have [...]

I just realized I scheduled a doctor’s appointment for 11:15am tomorrow. Tomorrow is the MacWorld Keynote!
Now I won’t get to skip lunch and play MacWorld Bingo with my co-worker…. ARRRRGGHHH!
Seriously. This means it will be the best keynote ever since I’m going to have to miss it. BLEH!

Shopping in the new NYC Apple Store with Harry…
Harry and Kelli made an appearance on the opening weekend. Was Harry picking up a iPod HiFi?
Just another reason I kinda love him… he’s a Mac guy.

The vacuum works fine

For the last week or so my powerbook has been getting more and more flaky with regard to keeping an internet connection. All the local apps work fine, but if I try to do anything requiring making connections it is slooooooooooow.
Yesterday I repaired permissions and that didn’t seem to help, so I took the next [...]

Apple - Boot Camp
I love the Apple snark on that page:
Boot Camp will burn a CD of all the required drivers for Windows so you don’t have to scrounge around the Internet looking for them.
EFI and BIOS
Macs use an ultra-modern industry standard technology called EFI to handle booting. Sadly, Windows XP, and even the upcoming [...]

Can I get mileage for my powerbook?
January 17th, 2006 · 1 Comment
First off, shout out to my Airport Express who’s ease of use its making this transmission possible.
I’m at work, but I’m on my PowerBook that, although slower and having only a G4 chip, has a much cooler name than the new Intel-powered MacBooks.
Here’s the setup for today’s Dilbert moments: Tomorrow my work machine (a Dell [...]
iLike Steve Jobs

Its lunch time and I opt-out of joining my co-workers today. One replies with a chiding, “You don’t like us anymore?”
“No,” I say, “I just like Steve Jobs better.”
It is MacWorld Expo 2006 time. Its Keynote Tuesday.
I’m spending the next hour or so waiting patiently while a well-designed website automatically updates me on the [...]

My iTunes Signature
December 10th, 2005 · No Comments
While surfing around del.icio.us (recently slurped up by Yahoo!), I found this iTunes Signature Maker and while I’m here at work, I put two together from my stash of music at work:
Most Played Songs (since my last system reboot)
Highest Rated/Favorite Songs
