I learned how to spell “bureaucracy” properly. Not being snide or saying its some person or agency, but I’ve honestly typed that word more in the last 2 weeks than I ever had before in my life.

Day of Prayer : Things are Desperate : What have you done?
Louisiana Governor Blanco has designated today, August 31st as a day of prayer for the tragic situation in New Orleans. If you pray, please do. If you don’t, please give up some good thoughts. PLEASE DONATE TO THE RED CROSS. WE NEED MONEY. LOTS AND LOTS OF MONEY. This situation is unimaginable. Don’t pay attention [...]
Please Donate Now
Please take 5 minutes and donate whatever you can spare to the Red Cross National Disaster Relief Fund. The American Red Cross is saying that the disaster from Katrina will be the biggest relief effort they have ever mobilized. Bigger than 9/11 or any other hurricanes. Last night I went to bed thinking New Orleans [...]
Pray
I’m not even sure what to say about Katrina. I woke up this morning and the first thing I heard was that it had been upgraded to the nightmare of Category 5. I’ve been glued to the tv since I got back from St. Louis early this afternoon. I’ve only been to NOLA once, nearly [...]

For those of you who haven't already voted
and may have missed the first Presidential debate last Thursday, it is available as a free download from the iTunes Music Store. Extremely hip.
Post-its for Breast Cancer Awareness
3M Corporation will be constructing the worlds largest Pink Ribbon in Times Square in October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month). By clicking here and filling in your name, 3M will donate $1 per entry, and hang a post-it in your name. It only takes a minute! My Aunt Beverly is starting her radiation this week. She [...]
Around the web today
Every morning on my routine web surf, I look at a lot of online news and entertainment sites. There are usually a few things of interest, but today there are no less than four articles that provoked a response from me. Composer Jerry Goldsmith Died I am a big fan of movie and tv soundtracks [...]
